About Us

Bob has been serving families since high school when he worked for the mortuary across the street in Myrtle Creek, Oregon.  After graduation in 1963, he went to San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in San Francisco. He has owned several funeral homes, ambulance companies, and Sharer Monument Co. through the years.  Today, he is honored to serve families with his oldest son - Brandon.

Brandon grew up in the funeral business with Dad and Mom.  After high school, he served four years in the Marine Corps. as a Crew Chief on helicopters.  After the Marines, he moved into the aircraft industry for Douglas Aircraft Co.  He didn't like the corporate city life in southern California and decided he would like to follow in his Dad's footsteps.  He returned to Sacramento in 1992 and now is a managing influence at Sharer-Nightingale Funeral Chapel.
